(I broke one of my rules.....) So, in my first Wattpad book review I did say that I would not review books that had a mature rating. The reason for me changing this on one account is that I really root for wattpad authors to get published and it is even greater when they are able to create a movie from the book. So, today I will be reviewing the Movie After along with the book series After. Let me first off say that if you do read this book I recommend reading on wattpad due to it being free along with the author giving warning on mature chapters. Another warning, if you read this on wattpad she started this off as a Fan-fiction (Not like any other fan-fictions) so most of the characters have names from the band One Direction. In the published books and the movie some of the names are changed but they all have the same personalities that are in the original wattpad books.

After Books

The first thing you will notice while pulling these up on wattpad that the covers are different and that there are only 3 books. When you buy them in Hard copy each book is 500+ pages and on Wattpad each book has 100+ chapters. You will basically get the same information although the hard copies have more detail. (Which I am not sure you need) These were books that I could not put down. Most of the time while reading I was so mad. The relationship in these books is toxic. While sometimes you feel they should be together other times you think the girl is just utterly stupid. Never the less you find yourself thinking about it non stop. I will never read these books again due to the emotional roller coaster it put be on but I don't regret reading them. Anna Todd warns the readers that this book isn't supposed to be all the clique and happily ever afters. I can promise you that it is not. To be honest the way these books had me thinking and so emotionally connected reminded me of the controversial Netflix series 13 reasons why. While the two are vastly different they have a similar effect on the reader. I believe Anna Todd to be a very talented writer who knows how to keep her readers attention. My only regret is the ending of the last book which was very open ended but at the same time I can't complain as it follows everything that has happened through out the three/four books.

After Movie

This movie is now rated Pg-13

Okay I have to say something that people may not agree with. If you go into this thinking it will be exactly like the book you will be disappointed. Each book is 500+ pages how do you expect to get that all in an hour and forty five minute movie. I do believe that this move was amazing. I went in not expecting it to be perfect according to the book. While it was still fun to see the similarities and differences I did like the book better if you looking for something more authentic but if your looking for a great love story this is it. I really hope that Anna Todd will turn the other books into movies also because I am a fan of the both of them. She did a great job at doing what she needed to do keep the story line while keeping the movie watching audience happy. All in all Anna put a lot of love, effort, time, and money into all of this and I am proud of her and will support what ever steps she makes next.
