I don't know about you guys but I LOVE TO TRAVEL!!! But there is a huge problem for me when it comes to traveling. It costs lot of money. I am going to take a minute to post one of my favorite travel tips. Don't spend all that money on a crappy hotel. Instead go to Airbnb.com here you can put in your travel location and you will find all the people in that area that are renting out parts of their home, a whole home, a mother-in-law suite, etc. The best part of this is that you get better quality for a fraction of the price. This is what my post is going to be about today.

So, this last year my Great aunt passed away. She was the only sibling that my grandma had and because of this my grandparents inherited a home in Sana Ana California. Right after we found out my parents drove up there for the funeral. ( Just a little back story. This is the home my grandma grew up in and then she got married to my grandpa so her parents left the house to my grandmas sister. My father and his seven other siblings grew up knowing their Aunt Carol but one day she stopped all physical contact with her family. When my parents got married they tried to go visit Carol but she wouldn't answer her door. The only way I or any of the family has talked to her was through hand written letters. So you can see how it was a surprise and a little exciting to find out a little more about who she was. ) Back to the story. My dad explained to me "Walking back into the house it was like a time capsule." It had not changed at all from when he was a kid and would visit his grandparents.

As you could imagine this house is very important to my grandma and we want it to stay in the family but just keeping the house would be a loss of money. We needed a way to keep it and make money. That is why we came up with the idea of fixing the house up and turning it into an Airbnb. This was perfect it gave all 8 children a place to stay while vacationing in California and when we weren't there others could stay in our cute little home. Turns out my grandparents loved the idea also. My family drove up there the week of Thanksgiving 2018 and went to town on fixing up the house. Then again in January of 2019 my mom, aunt and I went back up to there to finish up the process.

While all the work and time put into the house could be grueling, I have to say I love the experience. Plus to top it off the house turned out beautifully.

This beautiful home is only 7 minutes away from Disney, close to several amazing beaches and close to all kinds of entertainment and shopping. If any of you have a Cali trip in the near future feel free to take a look at our home. I will put the link below along with some more photos!
