4 Key Things I learned

I took a big step in deciding on going to College online vs in person. This just went to show how amazing it can be and in the next 5 weeks I will have my Social Media Marketing Certificate then go on to my Bachelor's in Business management. LDSBC and BYU-I have helped me immensely on the way. So, I just wanted to share 4 key things I learned from my Social Media Marketing Classes.
#1 There is a lot more to Social Media and Social Media Marketing than I ever would have thought.
a. When I went in I thought that it was going to be easy peasy. I had spent a lot of time on Social media so how hard could it be. Let me just tell you that you can do anything you set your mind too but it is not as easy mas it sounds. You will have to put in as much work into this degree as you would any degree you are going to work towards.
#2 Knowing your Audience Is Key
a. Knowing an audience was stressed to me so much through all the courses I took. I don't mean just knowing who you are selling to but knowing their stage in life and if they are single or married, along with knowing what they are interested in, etc... There are so many steps that I learned to figure out how to know your audience in the right ways. One main one was Creating Marketing Personas.
#3 This is an artistic Degree!!!
a. I never ever thought I would love something so much that made me half to be so creative. I wouldn't say that I am a super artsy person and I always had a hard time coming up with fun ideas. To be honest the things people would compliment me on usually came from some pinner's creative post rather than my head. I soon found out I was going to have to change that and boy am I eternally grateful. These courses have tested my creative ability to the max and it has made me think outside of the box in many different ways. I have been able to Create Logos, Ads, Pinterest Posts ;-), and use new methods of posting on Facebook, Instagram, snap chat, and Twitter. I am so eternally grateful for the ability to practice a more creative side of myself while doing something I am passionate about.
#4 YOU HAVE TO USE MATH AND SCIENCE!!!! (I know, I know, just keep reading)
a. I will be the first to admit I HATE MATH. I always have and I will never consider myself good at it. Although when it came to these courses I (being dumb) saved all the ones that would be using these subjects until last. But I am pleasantly surprised by how fun it is to learn these subjects when you are going to be learning them for something you want to do. These classes have been harder than anything else in the courses but I haven't ever found myself mad or angry about needing to do it because I know it is contributing to something I love. P.S. The numbers are actually really cool to look at as they give you huge insights into how you are doing.
All in all, I would 100% recommend taking classes from LDSBC online or even in person if that suit's you more. Below are some of the things I worked on from rough drafts to final drafts and even things I just worked on for fun from what I learned. Thanks for reading guys and until next time, Have a great day!
