As you guys may have read in my previous posts, I am working on an associate degree in Social Media Marketing. Today I thought I would take some time to show guys how to fall in love with the process we call Content Creation. If you’re like me, you may think of the word creation and kind of freak out. The words can have an effect of being boring. Some think of it and automatically remember those ads on Facebook that almost nobody pays attention to (if they do they are almost always annoyed). Although, when you dive into what Social Media marketing truly is you find out that it is so much more an two words. After much research into where I wanted to take my life to my great surprise, I found this. I had never figured myself to be a creative person, but Social Media Marketing has always peaked my interests.

Step #1: Flush those negative thoughts down the toilet

After starting the classes through BYU-I I found a pleasant surprise. I was good. Negative thought can get anybody down but when you push those thoughts away you can create amazing things. While Content Creation includes a lot of strategy it also includes coming up with new ideas. The best part is that even if you come up with something that doesn’t get the most engagement you can always scrap it and try again. Who knows, one of those ideas may just bloom into the perfect content.

Step #2: You must have Humility

Having Humility is a huge deal in whatever career you have. You won’t always have all the answers and that is okay. One must come to terms that not all their work will be the best and that it’s okay. You must be willing to work with other people and not want all the credit. It is alright to ask for help and consult with others as you are working on your posts. If you don’t love the content you’ve created how can you expect others to.

Step #3: Create content for people you like.

The picture on the left shows my family. I chose this picture because they resemble the kind of people, I want to create content for. Think about choosing a job. When you are searching for a new job you want to find something that fits you and your personality or you’re going to be miserable. This applies to Content Creation. If you are creating content for people you don’t like or a brand you don’t like your final product isn’t going to have a positive effect. Choose wisely!

Step #4: Be Crazy, Silly, and Fun

This is probably the most important step. You can’t be afraid to try new things. Some of your ideas may seem ridiculous and silly but isn’t that how some of the most famous things we own today came to be?

Don’t be afraid! If Social Media Marketing is something that you want to do take it and run. I know that you can do anything you set your minds to. Take those two little words (content creation) and show the world what you can do. If you want more inspiration go to this link https://www.valuablecontent.co.uk/blog/23-ways-to-fall-in-love-with-marketing-and-win-more-of-the-work-you-really-want-to-do they have so many great ideas on how to fall in love with marketing. Thank you so much for reading today. Comment with any questions you have I’d be happy to answer them for you.
