Expect the Unexpected (Accutane Week 1?)

So, as I have written before I was due to start Accutane on Monday after going to my dermatologist. I knew that after you first appointment that you have to wait 30 days to start the treatment. I wish I would have known that it takes a little more time than that. Instead of starting on Monday I am now starting today which is Friday the 29, 2019. For those who are wondering about the process when you go in for your second appointment where you can start you have to send the prescription to your pharmacist who will then send a document to your doctor who sends it back to the pharmacist then they send it to your insurance who sends it back to the pharmacist. As you can imagine this takes some time. Luckily I got it today because if it is longer than a week after your second appointment you have to go a whole month again before starting.
While at the start of the week this was very disheartening I have grown to feel okay with it all. Along with that I learned some life lesson about loving yourself. Sadly I have always struggled with this concept. I always told myself that I would gain self-love when I either lost weight, had more friends, got a job, or even if I had a boyfriend. I have learned that this is so unhealthy. Why wait to love yourself what you can do it right now. Self-love in 100% in our hands. While that can seem scary to some I think it is amazing. I heard this quote from somewhere unfortunately I dont know where from but I loved it too much not to share "If you are not willing to love yourself today, then you are not going to love yourself tomorrow, because what ever excuse you have today, you'll still have tomorrow. "
We choose how we feel and we can choose right now to get rid of our negative thoughts. While I refuse to say we are all perfect the way we are I will say we are all amazing. We can all constantly improve ourselves and still be amazing in what ever state we are in.
So, in conclusion don't let what others tell you make you believe that your not good enough, that your to fat, tall, short, skinny, ugly, stupid,or nerdy. You are what you believe you are and you should choose that your beautiful, smart, worthy, funny, kind, and any other compliment you can give yourself. Be like the girl in this video and I think you will find that your days will brighter and brighter.
While this may take some time, I know that as we start changing our natural response to criticism we can be happier.
