Researching Weight-loss doesn't = Weight-loss

Hey guys! Today I decided to talk about my still pending battle with my weight. I am sure I am not the only one who had spent countless hours on Google and Pinterest trying to find a fast and easy way to lose the unwanted pounds. With this comes the pictures of these women and men with the picture perfect bodies who have the picture perfect lives. Whether that be them traveling (which is my dream) or them having the seemingly perfect home life. Well, I have come to the realization that it is all STUPID! Along with millions of other people on New Years I made a lot of goals to better myself including; acne, no more soda, and getting back to my goal weight. I realized as I made this goal that it was not going to be easy. These Fad diets haven't and won't ever work for me so I am going to lose weight the natural way.
I am happy to say that so far I have lost 12 pounds in the last month. While I still have a long way to go I know that those hours I had spent researching weight-loss was not getting me anywhere. For those who are wondering what I mean by natural weight loss look below.
Step 1: Drink lots of water
a. While I am 100% positive you guys have heard this it really does help. I try to drink between 80 and 100 ounces of water a day. (Yes you will use the restroom a lot at first but you will get used to it)

Step 2: Track your Calories
a. This is also a big one. I personally use the app "My fitness pal," and it's really simple to use and gives you how many calories you should stay in a day to lose weight safely. I personally like this because if I want something not as healthy as long as I stay within my calories I am still on track to lose weight. ( Although, I do get more success when I eat healthier)
Step 3: EXERCISE
a. I know, don't stop reading! This is what always scared me but I have realized that it doesn't have to be much. You don't have to go to a gym. (while you can if you want) If you sit on the couch and don't really move (like me) You can start by just going on a walk or two and slowly progress. You will see a change. I have three bulging disks in my lower back and it is hard to exercise. I have found personally that it works best for me to walk or use a Exercise ball to work out. I think it is important to find a physical activity you enjoy and take it from there.

Step 4: Love yourself the way you are
a. You can love yourself and still want to change yourself. While this may sound clique, we are put onto our earth to continually grow and better ourselves. This is honestly really hard for me. I have always struggled with self worth but I know that as we find ways and little things to love about ourselves it becomes easier. I know this is one of the reasons I am being able to finally accomplish my new years goals and how I am going to continue bettering myself.
I know that if you follow these step you too can accomplish you're weight-loss goals. I would love to hear from you guys on you thought and ideas on weight loss so please follow me on my social media accounts below. I am happy to answer any questions you all may have. Thanks for reading! Talk to you guys next week.
